Nikon Signs Partnership With Disney, Becomes Official Camera Brand of Disney World and Disneyland Resorts

Nikon is the new camera brand to become the “official camera of Disney World and Disneyland resorts.” As you know, Kodak recently ended its longtime partnership deal with Disney and the new agreement "will allow Nikon to have branded “Picture Spots” throughout the theme parks, showcasing the most popular and photo-friendly places to document one's trip to the resorts.

“We at Nikon believe in telling great stories through images and this is an amazing opportunity to help families capture and preserve precious memories that can last a lifetime,” Nobuyoshi Gokyu, president, Nikon Inc., tells Marketing Daily in an e-mail. “Disney Parks are among the most photographed locations in all of the world, and both companies share a commitment to helping the millions of Disney guests from around the world capture and share the magical moments of Disney.”

Nikon will also be integrated into the resorts’ PhotoPass service (through which Disney photographers snap photos of guests at key locations), which will exclusively use Nikon cameras and accessories.
Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Operations, U.S. and France added in a statement: Our Disney Parks are among some of the most photographed locations in the world, so it is only natural for us to further develop our relationship with Nikon, who shares our commitment to capturing magical moments and making memories."
